The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the two key players of the Indian team who made a mark in the first test are released from the team ahead of the second test. The BCCI through its twitter handle confirm that the bowling spearhead, the winner of man of the match trophy from the first test Bhuvneshwar Kumar and the opener Shikhar Dhawan were released from the team ahead of the 2nd test against srilanka which begin of 24 November. The BCCI had announced that the players had requested rest owing to their personal commitments.
Vijay Shankar the Tamil Nadu all-rounder was named as the replacement of Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the remaining tests in the series. The all-rounder was rewarded for his efforts by earning the made-in call up to Indian team. The BCCI in its another tweet mentioned that the Shikhar Dhawan is available for the third test selection. The reason for the Bhuvneshwar Kumar omission is that he is all set to tie a knot to Nupur Nagar on 23 November.
