Director Sanjay Leela Bansali’s historical movie Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone. Deepika is the title role for the movie while Shahid Kapoor is acting as Chitthorghad’s king Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alla Uddin Khilji. The shooting for this film has been completed, already there are a lot of controversies revolving around this movie.
At first the movie crew anounced the release of this movie on 1st of December this year, but now the re-anounced the release will be postponed to another date which was not mentioned. Law, CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has put some restrictions on the movie and we are going to respect their decision said viacom 18 administrator. He said the release rights for this movie are going to come soon.
CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi has strongly opposed showing the film to various media channels prior to the sensor board. The CBFC has sent back the application stating that it is incomplete. The Viacom studio informed it would announce the movie release date soon. Padmavathi ‘faced many obstacles during filming. Many have tried to stop the film shooting too.
The first poster of the film was released in October, since then the controversy has become much more prevalent. Some people accused that Bhansali is distorting the history and he is showing the Queen Padmavati’s character in a bad way. The film team gave an explanation for this and said that the film was shot without hurting anyone’s feelings. People from various communities demanded to show the movie to them before the release, this might be a reason for the reschedule of the movie release date
