German Elections 2017
Angela Merkel wins for a record 4th time in a row as Germany’s Chancellor after CDU/CSU won a projected 33% of the votes in the federal elections. It is the largest party in the Bundestag with an estimated seats of 218.

She won for the fourth time but support for her party fell by more than 20%. She has been leading the country since 2005. She was 35 when the Berlin wall fell. She supports her French counterpart Emannuel Macron who was elected as the President of France earlier this year. It was a rough day for German politics. Merkel has won the election but it does not feel like a good victory.
